Chateauguay & Cross Country Skiing

Chateaugauy has a thin blanket of snow today.

I think I just might get my skis and head over to the Parc Fernand Seguin for some cross country. There are 17 klm of trails now through the woods and over fields.

Where is this you ask? Oh that's right, Chateauguay has progressed and changed since your time.

You might remember West End?

Go across the green bridge to Rue Principal through to the new Highway "Rene Levesque" which connects to the new Route 30. You remember this roadway as the one to the right going to Woodlands and on to Beauharnois. If instead you take a left, you will come to the new big Hospital 'Anna Laberge' just beside the Leo Crepin Arena. Yes we have two arenas and a hospital these days plus a big library.

Anyway, the arena backs onto the woods which has miles of perfect cross country ski trails maintained by the city. Also they have built up a rather large hill for toboganning. There is also skating .
